What is a cord-cutting ritual?
A deep emotional connection can spiritually and energetically bind us to a person, habit, or experience. Sometimes, energetic ties no longer serve us or can even be harmful. Imagine two souls bound together tightly. Even if they wanted to walk away, they can't. The purpose of the cord cutting ritual is to break those energetic ties so we can take back our power and walk free. Using candles, herbs, and twine, this powerful ritual harnesses potent earth energy to break energetic ties and loops once and for all.
What can I expect during a session?
You will receive a brief energetic cleansing, a chance to share anything you need to get off your chest about the situation, and an in-depth, intuitive explanation of the cord cutting in real time. You will also receive a follow-up email within 24 hours including explanations, readings about the ritual, and a recording of the ritual if you opted in.
What counts as an “energetic bind?”
Energetic binds can be formed through toxic attachment, or it can go deeper. It could be a habit that feels like generational trauma; a person that you feel like you've known in a past life who keeps popping up, an ex-partner with whom you did a handfasting ritual with on your wedding day, or even beyour relationship to a toxic or fraudulent religious institution (baptism, sold-soul, soul sacrifice, any other type of religious initiatory ritual). Only you know the complexity of your relationships to people and things.
What happens after the ritual is done?
Cord cuttings release us of our shackles. You may leave feeling at peace, knowing a situation has run its course, or you may leave feeling empowered to end something for good, or start on your healing journey once and for all. Know this: simply cutting someone loose of their shackles does not free them entirely. You can sit with the unlocked shackles on your hands or you can choose to get up, dust yourself off, and walk free. You are empowered. You are embodied. You got this.
Is it dangerous for the person whose energy I’m cutting off, or me?
We do not do baneful (harmful) cord cuttings at Meraki. This cord-cutting simply cuts the energetic tie that bound you and the person or thing together. The breaking of a contract made knowingly or unknowingly with the universe. This working is for the greater good; no harm will come to either party.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself; ready to cut off what's holding you down.
About your practitioner:
Hi there! My name is Beth. I’ve been a practicing folk witch dealing with cord cuttings, soul contracts, divination, and liminal spaces for seven years. I’ve always had a unique connection to things science has yet to explain. I believe much of what is deemed “magic” or “woo-woo” is actually science, because much of it can be explained or backed by scientific principles of energy and quantum physics. My spiritual journey had its start in the evangelical church, where I had unexplainable spiritual encounters. My journey took root even further when I started practicing the craft and communicating with spirits. I dabbled in spirit communication (ghost hunting, for lack of a better term) for about five years, visiting haunted locations in hopes of making contact with the liminal. Many times, I did. Most recently, divination, soul contracts, and pagan folk magic have been the center of my practice.
I believe it is in my soul contract to bring light to the shadow and to help people. People, hopefully, like you! I am beyond honored to share space with you, listen to your story, and help you free yourself from whatever is binding you. We all have magic inside of us, and one of the most powerful things we can do is take our power back.
